Iowa Memorial Union
The Iowa Memorial Union (IMU) is the center for student life at The University of Iowa. Opened in 1923, it is home to lecture halls, study spaces, countless student organizations, museums, and more. The IMU also includes the Iowa Hawk Shop, the Iowa House Hotel, and many student services. Information on all services and amenities available at the IMU can be found here.
Multicultural and International Student Support and Engagement
The UI has many resource centers for diverse students, including the African-American cultural center, Asian-Pacific American cultural center, LGBTQ resource center, and the Latino Native American cultural center. Find more information on the centers here.

Student Care and Assistance
Student Care and Assistance provides resources for students in emergency or crisis situations, and includes a variety of different programs. We know that students may experience a variety of challenges during their college career. Student Care & Assistance is a central location that provides coordinated efforts along with campus partners to assist students with overcoming challenges to be successful and continue towards graduation. Student Disability Services
The UI strives to ensure that all students, regardless of any particular disability, have an equal learning experience where they can grow and prosper. Faculty at Student Disability Services makes sure that accommodations are made for qualified students with functional disabilities, so they can achieve based on their own academic abilities. Student Involvement, Leadership, & Civic Engagement
The Center for Student Involvement & Leadership administers several programs that provide valuable services to the UI student body. Many of these services are free or have a small cost to the student. These services include Off Campus Housing Service, Alternative Spring Break, and Student Organization Business Office (SOBO). Women's Resource and Action Center
The Women's Resource and Action Center (WRAC) is a feminist organization dedicated to creating an equal society for all individuals. They offer services such as counseling, support groups, violence prevention training, leadership programs, and more. They are run by a small professional staff and many volunteers.
