The following information is distributed to students as required by the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act of 1990.
Historically, more than 70 percent of students entering directly from high school receive a baccalaureate degree from The University of Iowa within the six-year completion period established by the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act.
The most recent graduation rate available is calculated using the number of students enrolled full-time for the first time at The University of Iowa in the Fall Semester of 2017. Of these 4,707 students, 73.1% had graduated six years later (by August of 2023). More than half (57.2%) graduated within the four-year period. The 2017 cohort graduation rate would be even higher if it included transfer students, who were presumably in good academic standing when they transferred.
